Celebrations and Events
- On June 13, the House of Representatives passed by voice vote concurrent resolution No. 372 under suspension of the rules recognizing the 50th Anniversary of the Interstate Highway System.
- The Studebaker National Museum, which will be hosting the AASHTO's anniversary convoy on June 26, has a podcast talking about the Interstate 50th Anniversary.
- The U.S. Senate on April 5 approved a resolution introduced by Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) and the members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Interstate System. The text of Senator Inhofe's remarks and the text of the resolution can be downloaded here. Action on a House resolution is still pending.
- IDOT Partners with the University of Illinois to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Interstate System. IDOT and UIUC officials are working together to honor and recognize engineering students who have competed in a university wide display-building contest.
- The Iowa Department of Transportation has announced the release of a CD celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Interstate Highway System, produced by rock and roll legends The Sounds. The Sounds will also perform in a live concert at the Interstate 50th convoy stop at the Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa on June 23.

Convoy
- Due to flooding in Washington, D.C., the final event of the convoy has been moved from the Ellipse just south of the White House to a nearby indoor location.
- As our photographers begin to return from the convoy, we are adding more photos to the daily photo pages.
- If you haven't gotten to see the convoy for yourself, blogger Chuck Zimmerman has a 2 minute video clip of it rolling out of an Iowa rest stop on June 23.
- Captions added for most of the photos from the 14th, 15th, and 22nd. We will be captioning all new photos posted from here on out and will be going back and captioning the earlier photos as time permits.
- Dave Humphreys and Steve Jarriel added to the blogs page.
- Several new additions to the convoy vehicles page. Expect this page to continue to grow as we get more photos back from the convoy.
- The first of several webcasts of convoy events from the National City Network is now available on the NCN web site. Live webcasts will continue at 3:00 pm Eastern Time daily for the duration of the convoy.
- Convoy blogger Chuck Zimmerman has a 5 minute audio interview with AASHTO Communications Director and convoy organizer Sunny Schust.
